Nick Ganzon Appointed to Drive U.S. Market Expansion in PFAS Treatment Technology at The Water & Carbon Group

The Water & Carbon Group (WCG) has announced a pivotal appointment to lead innovation in the treatment of per- and polyfluorinated substances (PFAS) in the United States. Nick Ganzon is the newly appointed USA Country Manager who will be at the helm of the company’s U.S. operations.

Nick will oversee the expansion of WCG’s presence in the U.S. market with a primary focus on a PFAS removal technology – the LEEF System®. He will be responsible for the strategic management of current projects and client relationships within the solid waste, wastewater and water sectors.

As a dynamic leader, Nick has extensive experience in business transformation, driving new product development, and product management. As the former Vice President of Global Electronics & Water Quality Platforms at Watts Water Technologies, Nick joins the WCG team with a strong track record of driving strategic growth, delivering exceptional results, and enabling businesses to forge a sustainable path within their respective markets.

In leading the company’s U.S. expansion, Nick recognizes the paramount importance of the mission.

“Global PFAS contamination is a crisis for our generation, our children’s generation, and generations beyond. I am proud to be part of a team addressing this pressing issue,” he said.

“Our opportunity, and biggest challenge, is to stay at the forefront with our customers, and scale the business in support of their needs. There are roughly 1200 active landfills in the U.S., and we want to be the foremost provider of PFAS treatment solutions for those sites. The task ahead is tough, but as a dynamic and forward-thinking team, we are up for the challenge.”

WCG CEO Jim Hunter said he was thrilled to have Nick on board and looked forward to his passion, energy, and focus to bolster WCG’s long-term U.S. strategy.

“Nick’s appointment to the Water & Carbon Group signifies a pivotal moment for us as we set our sights on the U.S. wastewater industry,” Jim said.

“Nick has a wealth of experience and a distinguished career as an industry leader. He will bring to WCG and LEEF the ability to foster exceptional growth in the leachate market, while driving operational success for WCG across North America. I have complete confidence that Nick’s leadership and confidence in our technology will position us to seize every opportunity that presents itself.”

In early October, Nick will be at the Water Environment Federation’s Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) in Chicago, at WCG’s LEEF System® exhibition booth. He views this opportunity as a great chance to connect and engage with the industry and showcase the LEEF System® technology.

“The LEEF technology stands as a testament to the visionary thinking that is needed for the issue of PFAS,” Nick said. “The Water & Carbon Group is at the forefront of this innovation, demonstrating the effectiveness of its PFAS treatment at scale. With impressive results already seen in Australia, and in the imminent launch of our Bethlehem project in the U.S., these achievements serve as powerful references that will transform the industry, presenting a cost-effective and highly efficient PFAS treatment solution.”
